Damien Hirst:

Mental Escapology

Three large-scale outdoor sculptures by Damien Hirst, including Temple (2008), are on display in the stunning environs of St. Moritz. They are a part of the exhibition, Mental Escapology, which is presented across indoor and outdoor sites, creating a dialogue between nature, the manmade, the contemporary and the historic. Organised with the assistance of the city of St. Moritz, curated by Jason Beard, the exhibition is produced by Oscar Humphries and Voena Projects.

Wim Delvoye

Wim Delvoye is a multi-disciplinary artist whose huge body of work ranges from intricate steel sculptures to tattooed pig-skins, from the infamous Cloaca digestive machine to bronze figures with religious motifs. Voena Projects spearheaded his first major London solo exhibition, in partnership with Sperone Westwater.

Julian Schnabel

Permanently Becoming and the Architecture of Seeing was exhibited at the Museo Correr in Venice in 2011. Presenting more than forty works, it explored Julian Schnabel’s career from the 1970s to the present and offered an opportunity to admire paintings and sculptures by a great artist and all-round American phenomenon.

Hervé Van der Straeten

This exhibition in Milan presented bold and playful designs by Hervé Van der Straeten alongside artworks by Lucio Fontana, Yves Klein, Andy Warhol and Nicolas Poussin. Chandeliers, mirrors and pieces of furniture, encapsulating Van der Straeten’s characteristic blending of materials and striking juxtapositions of forms, were set against artworks by master painters and sculptors.

Rick Owens: Furniture

In 2014, Voena Projects curated the first exhibition of Rick Owen’s furniture designs in Italy. The renowned American designer is known for his minimalist colours and forms, using elegant and tactile materials such as marble, bone and petrified wood, melding beauty and luxury with functionality. Owens’s work was paired with master works by old and modern masters, creating an immersive artistic environment.
